Applications for Global Health Corps Fellowships 2017 – 2018

Global Health Corps is inviting qualified young professional to apply for fellowships positions tenable in 2017- 2018. 150 Fellowship positions are to be filled in the 2017 to 2018 classes. GHC through their one year paid fellowships provide intensive leadership training. The fellows work in health related roles within partner organization of the GHC in Malawi, United States, Zambia, Rwanda and Uganda.

 

Desirable qualifies of fellows:

The GHC Fellows are expected to;

-Be willing to go beyond their comfort zone

-Be open minded

-Are emphatic, with commitment to self-care and wellbeing of other

-are able to work with people of different cultures

 

Who is eligible to apply?

  • The applicant should be a holder of a bachelor or undergraduate university degree by 25 June, 2017
  • Must be young talented young leaders aged between 21 to 30
  • Must be proficient in English
 Fellowship benefits
  • Paid placements for one year in partner organizations of GHC in Malawi, United States, Rwanda, Zambia and Uganda to strengthen health systems
  • Intensive on-job leadership training
  • Fellows receive additional financial support in form of
  • monthly living stipend
  • housing
  • health insurance
  • Grants totaling to $2100
  • Transport to and from all placements

  • Monitoring and Evaluation officer in Lilongwe Malawi
  • Design Associate in Kigali, Rwanda
  • Health Information Officer in Lusaka, Zambia
  • Software Developer for Humanitarian Health Technology in Boston, United States
  • Social Behaviour Change Communication Officer in Kampala, Uganda

Global Hearth Corps was founded in 2008 by six young people of different backgrounds (including Barbara Bush) who met through a summit focusing on the engagement of young people in the future of global healthy.
